The reports say that good customer service is hard to find post-pandemic. Maybe that is true, but if we focus on the prickly experiences, we might miss the stellar workers going the extra mile, like Joel.

While visiting Los Angeles recently, my family and I stopped by Wahlburgers. Though I had heard a lot about this establishment, I had never been to one. While placing our order, Joel explained the differences in the burgers, which helped me make the best choice. He was patient and kind.

After we got our food, Joel came to our table to check on us. In my experience, that level of customer care is unique for a fast-food restaurant. Joel wanted to make sure we were happy with our choices. Everyone was pleased, and the smile on his face showed he was, too.

I see you Joel! Your positive energy was encouraging, productive, beneficial, and needed in the workplace. I'm sure your work environment is better because of it. Keep doing you.
