Extra Mile :: I See You! Excellent Customer Service Still Exists!

NCSA Extra MileHighlighting, Stephanie Green, ACS Gate Agent at the Atlanta Airport

I am highlighting Miss Stephanie Green. Yesterday, my family and I met Stephanie at the airport in Atlanta. When we exited the aircraft, we expected to have transportation assistance for my dad, who had surgery last week (btw, he is doing great), and my Aunt who has pain in her leg.

But, somehow, the information didn't get recorded in the system. Fortunately, the Lord had already placed an angel at the gate to assist us; it was Miss Stephanie. When I told her what we needed, she said that only one wheelchair was ordered for another passenger. However, my dad insisted he could walk to the next gate. But, my Aunt needed assistance.

Before Miss Stephanie finished one sentence, she started another and said, "Wait a minute, let me call someone." She called for one of those carts to pick us up. As we waited, we chatted. In her sweet and jovial manner, she kept us company until someone arrived to transport my Aunt to our next gate. She saw one of her colleagues, flagged him down, and asked if he could assist. He was more than happy to respond to her request. Now, that is exceptional service!!! It was obvious that Miss Stephanie is well liked and respected.

Of course, this interaction touched my soul because of my interest in customer care. Now, I am no one important, I am an ordinary person who is simply trying to do my part to make the world a better place by highlighting some of the bright lights where ever I go who are sharing their gifts, talent, and love with those who cross their path.

Miss Stephanie Green was a delight and we enjoyed meeting her. I don't believe in accidents and God doesn't waste circumstances. He always has a purpose and plan even when I don't know what it is. My family and I are grateful for Miss Stephanie's kindness. Someone once said, "It’s nice to be nice." And every now and then, everyone gets in a place, when they need someone to just be nice.

Miss Stephanie, I See You! You are the epitome of customer service excellence. Thank you for your service!
