I traveled to Los Angeles and needed some hair products, so I stopped by an Ulta store. When I walked in, William was the first person I saw. When I told him why I was there, he said he didn't work for Ulta—he was actually promoting a hair dryer and flat iron combination in the store. I asked if he was familiar with what I needed. He didn't hesitate to help.

Now, William could have passed me on to an Ulta sales associate, but he didn't. He left his station in search of what I needed. He asked my name, and we walked and talked like old friends. He was warm, friendly, and knowledgeable.

The product I wanted was out of stock, but William recommended a few alternatives that could achieve my desired result. Instead of sending me all over the store looking, he told me he would find them and then find me. It took a few minutes, but he eventually succeeded and went a step further, demonstrating the effectiveness of his recommended product for my hair before I purchased it. I was satisfied. He carried my items to the cashier, thanked me for coming in, and gave me a warm send-off. I was so impressed with William's personable customer care.
