Highlighting Demarkus Tucker and Ben Vallely of Lawton Construction & Restoration Company

Unfortunately, my hot water heater has been leaking, but I didn't realize it until a couple of days ago. The leakage was significant and damaged the floors and other fixtures. After making a few calls, Demarkus Tucker and Ben Vallely of Lawton Construction & Restoration came to the rescue.

Now, if you ask me about the goodness of the Lord and His love for humanity, or how to enroll in community college, or how to access supportive academic resources, programs, and services, or about professional development for staff, or the culinary arts, ingredients, cooking methods, techniques, safety, and sanitation, I could talk for hours. But when it comes to construction, that is not my lane. So, when Demarkus and Ben arrived, I braced myself for confusing construction language that would increase my stress. But thankfully, that was not the case.

After assessing the situation, Demarkus, the lead technician, explained, in layperson's terms, what was going on, what needed to be done, how they would stabilize the problem, and the next steps. He answered all my questions and ensured I was comfortable and confident in their expertise. He put all my concerns at ease.

The time and energy they put into their work is evident, not just in how much they accomplish every day but in the quality of it. Before they leave for the day, I get the plan for the next day. Every morning, Demarkus and Ben inform me of their ETA via an app. They are hardworking, punctual, professional, friendly, polite, pleasant, and communicative. They keep me in the loop about everything. Most importantly, they have shown incredible compassion for my anxiety over this unexpected situation.

In addition, they have respected my home, and I have watched their interaction, support, and respect for each other. While excellent external customer service is crucial, internal customer service is equally important. How employees get along in the workplace matters, and it's essential to getting the job done and serving external customers successfully. Demarkus and Ben’s positive energy has enhanced the experience for me as a customer.

Usually, having extra people in your home ripping out floors and walls is chaotic and stressful, but Demarkus and Ben exceed my expectations. I feel good about the work, and I know my home will be restored and look new when finished.

I see you, Demarkus and Ben! Thank you for caring and going above and beyond to ensure my home is repaired and restored in a timely manner. Continue going the extra mile and using your heart, talent, knowledge, expertise, and experience to serve your customers.
