Bloopers 'n' Blunders

Double Trouble: When Extra Food Means Extra Costs

Recently, my father and I had an experience with a local restaurant that highlighted several important customer service lessons. We placed an order over the phone, but the handling of our order fell short of expectations. The restaurant not only charged us extra for food we didn’t order but also provided us with additional items that we didn’t need, leading to unnecessary waste. To make matters worse, we ended up having to pay the delivery driver twice—once for the original order and again for the extra charges.

Customer Service Opportunity
A little extra attention to order accuracy and clear communication could have prevented these mix-ups. Confirming details upfront and keeping track of modifications goes a long way in ensuring happy, returning customers.
